WA4AGH - George Lever
George Leaver, WA4AGH
1919 - 2005

George A Leaver Jr., WA4AGH, became a Silent Key at 86, returning to his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 11, 2005.

George was a man of honor and integrity. He had a genuine desire to make B.A.R.S. the best amateur radio club in the area.

George George was one of the founding members of B.A.R.S. He held a General Class license and was said to have been responsible for the entry of well over 100 people into the ranks of amateur radio. George probably taught a good percentage of the B.A.R.S. club amateur radio theory and code.

In December, 1996 a special presentation was made to George for "Lifetime Service" to the Bullitt ARS. Also, as approved by the Board of Directors and ratified unanimously by the membership, George and his wife Pauline became honored LIFE members of B.A.R.S.

George was a retired small appliance repairman, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Okolona Christian Church.

He will be missed.
